For the past few years we have incorporated a 'Laser Taskforce Project' in the local community where our annual conference is held. It makes sense to use our collective group of skilled electricians and plumbers for charity work when we are all in the same place at the same time.

Laser guided mission in Fiji builds new hope
IN a one-day blitz, a team of local tradies from Laser Electrical Noosaville and Laser Plumbing Gympie installed solar panels on a technical college in Fiji and fixed a leaking roof at the local primary school.

Tradies Raise $77k for mental health
As a result of ongoing work by Laser Plumbing & Electrical to raise both funds and awareness for Beyondblue and the importance of having good mental health in the workplace, the group’s managing director Steve Keil has presented Beyondblue CEO, Georgie Harman with a cheque for $77,479.63.

Laser Electrical Orange Returns to the Ridge
Outback Links tradie volunteers are hitting the road again, giving up their time to help farmers doing it tough in remote NSW. In September, an enthusiastic group of 15 professional and 10 apprentice tradies will get their boots dusty giving a hand to 30 farms around Lightning Ridge and Goodooga in North West NSW.

Creating Better Education
Members of the LaserCon 2015 Taskforce were farewelled last weekend by the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Rosy Akbar, at a gala dinner in Nadi. The Taskforce consisted of plumbers and electricians from companies in the Laser Group, a network of over 250 plumbing and electrical contractors across Australia and New Zealand.

School Makeover
IN a project reminiscent of popular American reality TV show, Extreme Makeover, 400 electricians and plumbers from Australia and New Zealand converged on Votualevu Public School and the Fiji Technical Colleges Nadi Campus for a busy day of repairing and upgrading facilities.
